How many column auto Daytonas came with no console nor buddy seat??

My two Daytonas are both column automatic cars. The one has what I thought was a rare buddy seat. I have verified about 5 of those now. But I got to thinking as to how many have no console nor a buddy seat? Just plain old carpet between the front bucket seats! If you know of one like this let me know.
Thanks! MJ

I thought all R/T, 500 or Daytonas that came as column autos would have had the buddy seat by default.... No?

starting in 67, if you got auto on the column, buddy seat was extra cost option....I am unsure about the 68-70 cars...

69_500

Not sure on auto's without both but have seen four speed cars that are floor shift just between buckets.

that started in 67 also...

I have seen other "B" bodys  with just manual shifter and no console or buddy seat....but never a Daytona with a stand alone 4spd shifter.

have not seen any auto on column Daytona's without a buddy seat either

My Daytona was a column shift automatic with no center seat.    Has the C5X which is black cloth inserts and the 6 way seat option.

While it's not an auto, XX29J9B414639 (D21, V2 C6X !!!  :o  :drool5: ) had no buddy seat or console.  I'm not sure whether the car still exists or not, as it could be the one that Danny's (69_500) dad tried to swing a deal to trade a Boss 429 Mustang per the request of the owner at the time.  That one was destroyed in a fire.  Another member on the site knows much more about this deal than I, and perhaps he'll chime in.

410786 is another 4-speed w/ no C16 or C21, albeit a 440 car.  J9B414659 has similar options to the HemiDaytona referenced above (including no C16 or C21), but is a different car.  Cal Anderson's former T5 HemiDaytona is another 4-speed, no C16/C21 car.

Certainly not a common thing to see...

*EDIT*  Some UNOFFICIAL numbers to chew on...I found at least 30 cars specifically flagged as NOT having C16 (Console).  Out of those 30, 11 are known to have C21 (Buddy Seat).  Counting John's and Sean's cars, only 6 have confirmed fender tags with no C16 or C21 sales codes present... the rest?   :shruggy:

My old Charger 500, now owned by MoparChris, is a 4-speed no console or buddy seat.

My friend Bill's F6 Daytona is a 440/4-speed with no console/buddy seat, and my T5 500 is a column shift car with no buddy seat...

Yup 639 had C23, also an A01 and A33 car. Actually I thought it was a twin to 659?  :shruggy:
Have to get c500 to chime in because I was sure that the car his dad looked was not "destroyed", but of course, I have been wrong before. :-\

somewhere along the way, john's question about column shift automatics left the tracks...

My original 69 RT, that I bought new, was a 3 speed auto column shift with no seat or console.

69_500

I guess you could say the car my dad looked at and tried to buy was not destroyed but it was for intense and purposes destroyed. Building it was in caught fire. Car did not burn but the brick/concrete wall it was parked next to collapsed on the car pretty much flattening it.

One of my dads Daytona's was an AT on column with buddy seat. He did not have any that were minus both the buddy seat and console. 409045 was the AT on column car R4 with red interior.

I might as well toss another one in to the fray. I have a Cdn car, buckets , no console, 4 spd with no options. I mean manual brakes drum brakes, no power steering, no remote mirror, no tinted glass, no radio. I have an interior light, the one in the headliner since no console or even map light by glovebox. Wheels were steelies with small hubcaps. No tach , but it does have a clock. now does anyone know of a less optioned car????

Thanks for all the information and discussion on this topic! So far just 2 no C16 nor C21 column auto Daytonas! Here is another tidbit, Seans Daytonas vin is XX29L9B409048 and mine is XX29L9B409059! The vins on these two oddities are only 11 apart! The Daytonas were probably from the same batch and on the assembly line at the same time! There might be a little more to this? :scratchchin:

John, the two cars you mentioned (yours and Sean's) are the only two column-shift Daytonas I know for sure have no buddy seat.  There are seven other automatic cars which reportedly don't have a console, but I don't have info on whether they have/had a buddy seat.  There could obviously still be other cars out there, but so far just the two.
