Aero426

Saw that earlier today.   Cool story.

RallyeMike

600,000 miles. That guy is going it right. Who thinks they'll go wishing they spent more time polishing the car in the garage? Neat story.

I like that Mike, may just steal it.

That guy's a nut.  Not orange super-Petty-fan-guy superbird nuts, but in the same ballpark.

Would you suggest that he is prone to exaggeration on that mileage claim?    :smilielol:

FJ5WING

That's what I was thinking but didn't want to be labeled a Negative Norman!

with that kind of miles it should've been restored like 12 times.
wingless now, but still around.

it's the Paul Bunyan of Superbirds?  well hmm.

HPP

Well, that's only 13,636 miles a year. I'm sure a lot of us on here drive more than that annually.

Ghoste

The average is generally considered to be around 20,000k.

69_500

Hmm, how many miles has talkiemopar put on his bird in it's life? Pretty sure the Machado's car has well over 250k on it by now. Seems I had heard about another Bird that had close to 350-400k on it as well.

talkiemopar

I have 162k on the old bird.  Rick. :vert: :vert:

RallyeMike

Whether 600k miles is true or not I can't say, but it is certainly not impossible. Look up the 3 Million mile 1966 volvo for just one example.

I wonder how many times the motor has been refreshed.
