Wow - It's a 70, has a 4.11 Dana and a sixpack!  :icon_smile_cool:

1970, Dodge Daytona, 440 6-pack, 411 Dana 60, First Daytona shipped in the USA, Second car built by Dodge (First built was shipped to Canada)  7500 original miles, Seen here in Richard Petty blue and red. This third paint job was painted over plum crazy purple and gold over the original red and white.

Ghoste

62 Max

And this is what it looked like when I passed on it in 82 and bought the bird instead,40 miles from home and it wasn't purple and gold,it was purple and white. When I looked at it the odometer had 6211 miles and it had an 8/3/4 rear and dealer installed 6pk ( Grove Motor Co,Huntington,PA ) ! The original owner bought both it and my bird new,had a thing about paint jobs, here is the bird back then.

...the Daytona is a legit documented dealer installed SIX PACK, done when the car had only 17 miles on the odometer...it still has only 9400 original miles...I was also told it was once purple and gold by other people, but it was red/blue the first, time I saw it

Fixed it

You fixes it but their quotes were from 5 years ago doubt they have gotten any smarter in that time, nor even remember posting on that picture. Too bad they will not get an update.

Jim you need to bring one down to Talladega next year.

maxwellwedge

Haha - didn't notice it was from 5 years ago!

Dega huh? Boat-Tona is a possibility.... :scratchchin:

Jim if you just need someone to drive one down for me just let me know. I would even come pick it up, bring it back after washing it and changing the oil, and with a full tank.

ok stu, we can compromise here. i was going to toss that one out along with the plastic chevies.

ironically, it was a plastic chevy that lead to larry's first taste of wing car ownership. that, and his lack of a road map at the time.

Man! This thread has sure gone south.
I remember his Daytona in the Uncle Sam paint them at the Mopar Nats at Indy in the early nineties. The owner at he time was claiming first Daytona built. I already has seen Doc-tona several times by then by did not want to rock the boat. Besides I was too shocked by the 5-6 BO/LO cars that Fast Fredie had there that year including Julie Lilly's Cuda.
