The chrome rim "Kelsey wheels" are not the ones produced for Chrysler, but were sold direct from Kelsey Hayes, after the Sept. 1968 recall letters went out. It only has 10 rivets holding it together, instead of the 15 that the real Chrysler wheels used.

So, THESE Bird wheels look like they have an aftermarket trim ring, but are they the original ones underneath?

They do look cool on a Bird!!!!!!!!!!   :yesnod: :cheers:

You knew that was going to happen, it pretty clearly states in the article the guy is a flipper. To each his own, but if I had the cash to purchase two Superbirds in a basement they would stay with me.
