Hi guys,

today I changed head gaskets on my 440 Charger engine and saw that pistons have this number: 2383p 0.30

Does anybody know what are these pistons, only I can see is that they are bored 0.30 over and have flat tops :)

Heads are 906 casting and Block casting number is 3830930-440-3, so I am trying to figure it out what compression ratio engine might has :)

2383P is an old TRW number that was replaced by the 2388P, it has a CH of 1.926" which is the same as the '72 and later factory piston. With uncut 906 heads and a .020" gasket you'll have a true CR of around 7.8-1.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

John,
As long as we're here. Some time ago I purchased a batch of stuff from a fellow who was selling all his parts and 66 Charger.
In this batch were these.  I have never been able to cross the number on the box(s).  There are 8. He said he "thought" they were 20 over for a 383.
Can you identify these?
Thanks
