gotta love US attorney Paul Fishman's quote regarding others who might have been part of the scheme -

"If you were one of those doctors who was participating in this scheme, it would be a really good idea for you to call us before we call you."

He was off to a good start on a really good car collection. :o  I wonder about the titles on these cars :scratchchin:  Did they force him to sign each title, or are they going to be issued a new vin?

When your stuff is seized you don't own it any more so the title is worthless. The government will hand you a new one.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

You steal $100 million and you buy ,,,,,,,,,,,,, a Nova?   Wtf?

If you buy one Yenko, you probably want one of each flavor.

So you steal $100 million and you buy a ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,rare Nova?   Wtf?   ;)

pettybird

So that guy bought most of his stuff through my old employer Best of Show.  He gave a couple of weird explanations about where the money was coming from (including that he was disabled/dying and wanted the cars before he was gone.)  Not pictured here are a '71 hemicuda and a '69 428SCJ 4 speed drag pak mustang...I don't know if he offloaded them or hid them.

I got to drive the cuda, the boss, the 67 Shelby, the SCJ and the yenko camaro.  The boss looked the best, the cuda drove the best, and the camaro was the fastest.  I didn't see the 'bird or it would have definitely gone around the block or so ;)

the linked auction is just for the seven cars seen here. there are several other cars to be sold later, so i bet the ones you are talking about are yet to come.

Yes - Last one I heard selling was over 650k. Three of my friends have had one over the years....they all sold theirs a few years back. Yenko Chevelle is the next rarest...

Yes, the ZL1 cars have held on to the dollar crowd like Hemi Cuda rags.

I wonder how many of the seizures were illegal... Seems a little like a money making scheme.  :scratchchin:

Ghoste

I don't know, I think the seizures were more legit than the little scam the doctors were running.

Damn, now that doesn't seem shady. I thought they were a collection over time of many individuals. Sucks for the felon good for the general automotive car enthusiast.  :2thumbs:
