I have placed calls to several people to keep their eyes out for I.

Did you call jim Kramer he is very knowledgeable on Hemi eng in pa 724-285-5566

Quotejust for the record its RM23ROA161573.

I took the letter O out & replaced with a zero. If anyone Googles that actual VIN they will find you this way.

RM23R0A161573

If they just have the block they could list it as 0A 161573 or 0A161573 also.

Galen Govier / GTS / www.gvgovier.com.  Galin sees a lot of cars.  He found the 4 speed trans for my car.  He is a very busy man and sometimes takes a little while to connect with you, but if you are in his registry and he comes by it, he will let you know.

Mike,
Just use your head (and any other available resources) when it comes to validating any engines that show up on the radar as potentially being "yours". I posted a similar ad on Moparts for my original Superbird block and 4 years later I was contacted by someone claiming to have my block. He sent me digital pics of the ID pad and of the pan rail pad with my VIN stamped on it. However under closer scrutiny the font of the numbers wasn't quite right and I believe that he was trying to sell a 440 block to me for a greatly exaggerated price after he restamped it. Needless to say I passed.
Just be careful and do your homework if any engines do show up. I hope you find it!!
:2thumbs:
Scott.

I agree - Galen has re-united many a Hemi to the original car. He has an extensive list of engine VIN's. Any re-stamps can be verified by the numbers on the bottom of the block by way of a secret decoder ring.  ;)

I think I know the guy that bought that. If so it was a Canadian car. Do you have any pics of that?

Yup I know who bought that. I bought the window plug, trunk lid, wing washers, a pillar trim and maybe more  :icon_smile_big: He still had the core support that showed 414636.

I got a email form a friend by the name of John Butchco, he may have enlightened me to a new path to search for my Hemi engine,,,,,

hi mike....well, I may have misled you a bit as far as the hemi engine is concerned....the mind ain't what she used to be so I spoke to my friend paul messemer today at length about thye engine(s)....it seems that the hemi engine out of the superbird ended up in another karl gould car...the one driven by tim Richards and paul back in 71 when these pics were taken....I did not realize that there was a second, third, fourth and fifth 426 hemi lurking around.....my understanding was that chip kept the original engine from the 33 willys for all the other builds....paul said NO, that there were a bunch of hemis lurking around at that time and the one from the superbird ended up in this car as pictured.....as I got out of drag racing in 1970-1, I cannot deny nor corroborate anything paul said....I suspect he may be right as he was adamant that the engine WAS in the brown cuda when it went to a guy in florida and then to another guy in Georgia - he mentioned that he told you this about a month ago...funny, but I just happened to have pics of that car in my old drag folder so here they are....if you have any connection with nhra/ihra/? in fl or ga, maybe you could look there....I was told the car was still sporting the same colors when last seen in, I think, Bristol tn at the drags there - it was running ss/da ....anyway, I am still checking with some of the guys from back in the day, but 30 years ago is tough for some of us to remember....enjoy the pics and I will keep checking - George did not have the engine as you may have thought.....later...johnnyB

any of you guys know of a Cuda in Florida or Georiga running this paint scheme and sporting a Hemi?
