Says it's the secondary air injection system...what is that?? Code doesn't appear in my manual. It's a 2001 S10 Blazer with the 4.3. Thanks

Edit, checked my training book (  :lol: )

says common problems are a blown fuse (find out why obviously)
and water/moisture getting into the pump and rusting it

air pump providing ox for the catilitic[spelling] converter to work.  they can get moisture in the pump and fail.

no, the air pump just sends air to the cat to help burn off harmful emissions.

that sounds like a vent/evap system problem, air is supposed to be able to go into the tank as gas gets sent to the engine, if it doesn't, the gas tank will fold in on itself, like a water bottle that you drink too fast.... NORMALLY the gas cap allows air to enter but not escape, so im guessing this aftermarket cap isnt letting air in  :shruggy:

Basically, It has to let air in, but cant let gas fumes out.. Because of environment and all that
