Trying to find some information on car number 181261. Does anyone have the shipping list showing the selling dealer. Pretty sure it was sold new in Florida.

Thanks
  Dan.

The list of Superbirds serial numbers did not include the selling dealers like the Daytona list did.

does anyone have a list of dealers in operation in 1970?

I know my car came from central Illinois close to Weldon.
wingless now, but still around.

Dave,

Which engine in your 'Bird?

Do you know the dealership's name?

I'll see what I can find in the Weldon, Ill area.

 Ive got the V code and I haven't any idea what dealer sold the car. That's what I was getting at.
Thanks!

Ok, thanks!  I have the shipping list for the Daytona's and I thought at one time I had seen one for the Birds, guess not.  I know the car well, just trying to find some early history. Like the original engine, blown very early in life. Trying to track it down or find someone that knew the car and might remember if the engine was kept or it went for scrap. Anyone in Florida remember of a Limelight Hemi Bird, it flew the coop from there in 1974. It was running on a 383 and had just been rear ended before it left.

Dave,

I have some original ads for a "V-code", automatic 'Bird approximately 2-1/2 hours from Weldon, Ill.

No color or shift configuration mentioned.
