How a 470 cubic inch wedge is made?

A buddy of mine is contemplating a 70 Super Bee with a 470 cubic inch wedge. The car started life as a 383 4-gear. I don't think even 60-over gets you to 470, so I'm guessing a stroker crank was used. How would one go about that?

They likely offset ground a 440 crank to 3.90" or so stroke and the rod journals down to 2.2" big block chitty size. I want to try one out, but why build a 470 when you can do a 505 :shruggy:  :drive:

:iagree:

A .030" oversized bore 440 with a 3.9": stroke nets 470 inches. Same thing without the journal resize nets 451 inches.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
