Ok, I'll throw it out there....
Is this a reasonable price for a project Superbird?

Upside is the original block comes with it and it's a pretty complete looking car with documentation (BS & tag)
Downside is that it has a fiberglass nose and appears to need a complete "going through"

any thoughts?

After seeing the Big willy #'s match daytona go for 140k at auction and Tim L's hemi C500 go for 135k I'd say priced a little high. If it was a daytona then maybe.
Yes its an "original" car, but like u said will need to be torn apart. Personally i only see buying cars in 3 states. Project needing it all, restored and documented. Or survivor decent enough to drive and display. Most "driving" projects need as much work; actually more as you need to tear into it than a basket case. I don't see where the premiums come from. :rotz:

if you consider what you stated, then calculate the current cost to restore and the current restored value, it's highly overpriced. I would think for that kind of coin, you could buy an older restoration that needs little to nothing.

Possibly the same car? Not too far from each other. Maybe a flip?

The one from the SuperBee ad was suppoded to be an automatic, this one is a 4-speed

I'd like clarification on the "rod damage."  I'm cool with major scoring but if there's a hole big enough for your fist on the other side that's a bit less cool.

Lime green, 4 speed--good.  Car needs gone through, though.  $70k?

different old tire & different old stickers in the windows - IMO = different cars (based on pics)

Can you restore it front to back for $30K? I highly doubt it even if you did most of you're own work.

92K Cash, no mention of small bills?

I wonder if the original cone rusted out (given the mention of rust by the rear window) or was lost in an accident?

Really nice combination of a car-Exterior Color and the basic black interior with a 4 spd. A good car to drive around in.

Missing details like jacks. I guess I am more used to seeing a t post for the rear jack, but I suppose the tube post was possible. Kind of spray bombed all over, and I wonder what the masking job was like and the resulting overspray.

I am curious what it will go for, given what some of the other project cars have gone for lately. I have obviously guessed too low on them. I get Doug saying there is always an opening for projects. This is a project, but it appears less of a "ruster" than some others. I would think an on site inspection would be a must. It seems similar in scope to the Blue NY car earlier in the winter or late last fall.

Being assembled and not being in boxes is a plus.

No, but show me a project car that isn't sold like that.  The car isn't terrible and it has value as is.  By your metric it should be about $40k.

That's a little low, but in my book it isn't worth a stitch over 60K. If I'm spending your money, I'm in for all 92.
