I got these off Facebook from back in the day. Is this a 500 turned into a clone or the real deal?

Looks like the first picture the owner was having trouble figuring out how far the nose stuck out as it is bruised on both sides

This one has made the rounds before.   I believe it's real.   Ben from Canada should know.

Vinyl tops were not all that unusual to be added.    Given the age of the photo, it was harder back then to clone a Daytona, esp getting the front end parts.

real as its a dent in the nose !!! fiberglass doesn't dent .......... also straight lower bottom of backlite = real car

Back in the day they got driven along with all the other  future  classics.

Hard to read but doesn't that look like "Charger 500" between the tail lights? :shruggy:

real 500's had the "500" script under the right tail light, not the center of panel

the car in the pics doesn't have the 500 badge in either location. The one between the tail lights is the base model emblem that did come on the 500.

again, the first black and white picture of the Daytona in the first post does not have the 500 emblem in the rear panel....

held1823

the first photo is an enlarged copy of the one posted later. everything in the background is identical. the resolution was not high enough to blow it up to that size. that said, i don't know if either one has been edited.
