I just returned home from a road trip in the Motorhome.  The biggest tip I have is...get out of Michigan as fast as you legally can!  The drivers AND the roads were the worst I encounter during my epic road trip across America.  We left Arizona, traveling to up through Kansas, then on to Indiana.  After that we went to North Carolina, before shooting up to Northern Detroit and then on to a town above Chicago.  For our return to Arizona we proceeded along I-90 (some of the best roads..Go figure) to Colorado.  Then down through Wyoming and New Mexico on to Arizona.  Somehow we were able to avoid most all the bad weather that was dumping rain on everyone, but we did see the after effects in many states.  It appeared as if every major road was under repair with the assorted road workers doing their thing.  I-40 is in need a repair along with many other roads....Just watch your speed and the weather.  Gas is below $3.00 for the most part (averaging around 2.59)...for regular anyway.  Most importantly......slow down and enjoy yourself and take a lot of pictures!  Have fun!

It's been over six years since I drove North of the border, so no help there...but back then the roads were nice...

What days-I will be hitting Saskatoon on June 25th sometime late morning early afternoon if all goes well on my SuperbirdNorth trip to Alaska. If we meet up we could have a mini-Superbird car show one of us is sure to win best in show!

What dates in Winnipeg?
Manitoba mopars is hosting a show at Kildonan park july 1. South beach casino has an all makes show on the 5th.
Every Sunday night there are larger multi-make shows at various watering holes.
You would DEFINITELY win a distance award by attending!
That is one heck of a detour to get to LA!
Should be a great ride.

So cool, Kiwi.  I can't wait to get mine up and running to take a trip along the US west coast, and along Route 66.  I hope you have a great time.   :2thumbs:
