Has anyone put a classic audio type radio in and if so how similar is it to the factory appearance?

I put a Aftermarket am/fm 8track from 1973 in and it looks good and my 1970  knobs fit perfect.

I purchased this one http://www.vintageautoradio.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_new.tpl&product_id=101&category_id=4&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=67
for my 73 and don't like it at all. It does look like the original and fits just fine. But when you turn it on the lighting is different. LED is my guess.
In fact after what I paid for it, I was very disappointed.
I am resurrecting my original AM/FM and putting it back in in the spring when the car comes back from winter storage.
