Will an original ac/heater control for my 68 work on a modern ac system? I know it has some sort of vacuum control on it. I'm doing away with all the vacuum system.

Honestly - I installed an aftermarket A/C box that used vac to actuate the doors - and hooked it up to the factory controls....     not sure 100% on using your controls for an electric system without major engineering with switches and relays.

I converted my 73 Charger over to R134 with all new under the hood and used all the original system inside, works fine.
