Hmmm, a car that is now in TX is in a  Maine add advertising a car in upstate NY? Could it be a Craigslist scam? If so, I'm absolutely shocked!  :P

70Sbird

Is this the car that was discovered in a basement in the NE US with a "restored" Yellow one and sold as a pair?

Are you sure that is the same car Troy...just because its an orange Superbird doesn't make them all the same :nana:

I stand corrected... This indeed may be a different car.. The car I know down here that came from Upstate New York has ripped up front bench seats and no front cone bumper rubber.. And, they do have different colored "Plymouth" rear quarter lettering..... Man, my eyes are failing me.........

Well I had it at Maine first, then changed it to Upstate NY as per the posting when you click into the add. So who knows where it actually is :)

If the listing is real, the owner could be listing it on Craigslists all around the country. I see stuff on my local Indianapolis CL from other states. Do a search and find they are listing their crap on CL's across the country.

Although the two cars look VERY similar, the vinyl top on the orange one picked up (with the Yellow 'Bird) by John Fardone, was in MUCH worse condition.

(Never mind.....didn't realize that someone already posted a pic showing the difference in the two cars.)

GOTWING

I have a video of that actual car in Ocean City MD.

it is towards the bottom where it says "show more"

It's a real car with a repro glass nose cone. The original smashed one can be seen at the bottom of the photos.

Real car, but not in the club database.     Always great to find a new one.    :2thumbs:

Man! I didn't even recognize it. Looks like a quick buck for someone. Its a shame that these cars are just a meal ticket to most.

Beep Beep Dave

Who's paying $105k for that? The B5 Superbird is a turn key car and has been for sale for how many years at $130k? Somebody is dreaming...I like how they don't mention the damaged fibreglass nosecone like that's not important now :shruggy:

Went from 85k to 105k to 95k, now back to 85k :scratchchin:

The color don't  look right on the car,

hemigeno

Was this car originally built with 14" white stripe tires & wire wheel covers?

:-\

Wow there are 5 Birds on EBay right now. That's the most I've seen at once.

Now back at $85k. That's odd because when first listed a Journalist said it was a steal at $85k :shruggy:  So Seller then threw on ebay for $105k.  :scratchchin: Now it seems nobody want's it for $85k :shruggy:

It's also missing the VIN sticker on the door...

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
