Trunk emblem on a '69?...

So I noticed when my car came back from the body shop that I have a pair of holes on the back lip of my trunk lid on the far left side.

Is there suppose to be an emblem or badge there? 

My car was originally a 318 car, but got swapped to a 440 22 years before I got it so I made into an R/T clone.

Perhaps a "special edition" badge? 

I just know it looks funny with the holes in it...

No factory emblems on the trunk lid. Maybe a dealer put their name on it.

A dealer emblem would be my guess also.  The factory did not put an emblem there.

So yeah after asking on here and at my car club meeting and doing a lot of looking, I think it was a dealer emblem.

Problem is the car has been painted since 2008, and I have 2 holes in my truck lid.

Any ideas for hiding them or covering them up?

Is there by chance anyone who sells reproduction dealer emblems from back in the day?  Might be the only Charger to show up at car shows with a dealer emblem on my car...

My two cents is to leave the two holes as they are.
If you were to cover/fill and paint touch up you just may miss out on many conversations about the history of your car.--BTW I agree that it must have been a dealer added item.----That is not a bad thing.--

When I go to shows and nothing catches my eye as I pass by---I tend to just pass by.  When something like the holes you are asking about catches my eye I tend to pause and ask questions.---This is a fun part of showing cars with unknown history.
