Imagine they thought an unrestored tag would show authenticity?? My tag went missing, back in the late '80s during repaint, and I have a reproduction to put in it's place. I can't decide whether to paint it.. or clear it and show it for what it is?

As for this car.. you can already see the rust coming back out of the frame rails, etc.

 Last note I had - it was on E-Bay in Jan 2004 and not sold at a high bid of $65,100. Window sticker is a repro.

Why is that? I was stationed out there in late 80's and we used to go there just to walk around and check stuff out.
We were broke at the time, of course but they always treated us really good....and let us hang out and BS.

why do you say that? My car originally had a pad. Im undecided on reinstalling it figuring I can always add it if I want to but dont want to have to remove it. There was also minimal undercoating....really minimal. barely anything more than just the wheel wells.
