Hemi Runner

Nice clone. Ditch the 60's era wheels/tires and 4x4 stance and it'd be righteous.

WINGIN IT

I never understood why so many clones are automatics - column automatics at that.
Why not make it a 4 speed , if you're going to sell it, it would likely get more interested parties I would think ... :Twocents:

DAY CLONA

Not a bad clone, seen worse, FAR worse!... it's not 6 figures worth though, the front spoiler, the A pillars and trunk hinges look home brewed, although a lot of work was done, the reality is $60-$75K (start knocking off bucks if the wing and nose internals are glass, as well as rear plug) on a "good day"

Agreed, but why stop at a 4 spd, 5 spd is the minimum requirement in "my book" for any Mopar, numbers or clone build

Yah... I would have been dead with a 5th gear! Radar'd at 181MPH in 1980 when I was 18. No need for a 5th gear with 2.94's !   :icon_smile_big: :drool5:

The ad claims that the car is an original Charger 500 body from Texas......the VIN should start with XX then right? Or does the seller not know the difference between a base model Charger and a Charger 500? You would think an original soild body Charger 500 would fetch a good amount on it's own without making a Daytona clone out of it?

In 1970, the 500 was a trim level. Only the 1969 500 would have XX.

This is a very nice car. What is nice is that it is ready to go – no build time. Plop your money down and enjoy. Put 20K down and get a 10 year loan, so for 700.00 a month you will have a car that does not depreciate and will be a blast to own.

The price of this car is high, but the build looks really nice. I always want to know where they got their wing :) The market will ultimately set the price. It will either sell or it won't 

Column vs Console and Auto vs Manual  - my 1 cent :)
First off it is a personal preference. I understand why people would like the manual trans, but I never liked them. I tried, just like I tried liking Country music (ha ha- never), but I hate, and that is putting it mildly, manual trans especially in these years because they drive like a truck, they are clunky, chattery, and it gets old shifting when dealing with a lot of HP. I love the quick response of an auto. Yet, it would be nice to be able to pick the gear you want when driving from light to light... 

As for the console, I love their looks and would never get rid of it, yet I would never modify a car to fit one either. They are beautiful but they are built like crap. Plastic with a heavy metal cast top and a cheesy console box that never shuts right is something I do not miss at all. After having a column shift - I love it. I don't need to impress anyone but myself. I love the openness and space in the front with the column shift too. These cars speak for themselves.

It would be nice to know what this sells for?
