Apologies for the topic subject but I have this annoying problem. When I go hot in and out of a corner the window washers spray a decent burst of water on the windscreen. It is definitely not an electric short because I disconnected the washer motor and it still did it. It looks like the water gets thrown from one side to another in the reservoir.

Is this a common problem. Maybe I'm missing a one way valve along the rubber hose.

Fluid sloshing in the tub most likely.

I knew this would go south, my bad.

I ordered some one way valves and will see how that works. Technically I could have just stuck one way valves from the fish tank aerator. which I have lying around

Umm your one way valve will not work
You have to put the valve in the direction to let the washer fluid out so how is that going to fix anything ?

How many times do you ever use the washer feature anyways ?
More or less often than ripping around corners to make it leak out onto the windshield ?
Leave the tank empty  :2thumbs:

Hi OzCharger,              28 April 2021

Not your fault. You have to consider the source.

An old saying sums it up quite well:

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to opens ones mouth and remove all doubt.

The valve in itself creates some  drag which I was hoping would be enough. Tthe washer is rarely used but if it's a long drive through country roads you get heaps of bug splatter.

tan top

just had a crazy thought  , have you got the factory filter in the washer bottle ? no filter might cause water slosh & false water out the hose  :shruggy:
