68 Charger Gas Filler Tube
How would you suggest cleaning the inside of this tube.
There is a certain amount of WHITE material (corrosion?) near each end and I have no idea what it is.
Also the inner vane near the end.

On the outside, below what goes through the trunk floor pan, is brick hard undercoating.
I expect that has to be removed to fit the seals to the trunk floor.  Suggestions please.

Probably not the answer that you're looking for,  but I just bought a new one.

 Probably the white stuff you  see is from the galvanize coating in the tube. To get rid of the undercoat it needs to be heated up to soften it and scrape it off. Unless you are on a 100 point car no one will ever see it.

Soak it overnight in mineral spirits...the undercoating will wipe off nicely!
