This olimpic games were to me the most emotional opening ceremony ever ( for obvious reasons, my Family origins ), but taking that on a side, I stil think no one olimpic flame light up performance before or after has being more sporty representative ( aside the tipical athletism performance running up to the cauldron ). Full of emotion.

After Barcelona 92 the technology has being growing up potentially and of course a this progressive advance has being used on the openings, but still think this moment won't be ever beated

I kinda teared up when Mohammed Ali lit the torch. I did enjoy the archer lighting, I thought that was pretty cool.

Well everyone is going to say their home Olympics had the best opening ceremony....well they will if they have the slightest bit of patriotism in them....So I will have to say London 2012....bias aside it was a pretty amazing opening show!  And we are one of the very few countries who can (honestly) claim to have made a profit on the Olympics being held in their country!! LOL!

I didn't really watch any TV in 92 so this is the first I'd ever seen or heard of this opening - I agree that was pretty neat.
