I have never owned a vehicle this old. It's a 49 Plymouth Deluxe, Business coupe. And all MOPAR! 318 engine, 833 4 speed manual trans, 8 1/4 rear. It has an F body front suspension. This poor little thing has had a fair share of neglect in recent years. Just riddled with electrical issues, poorly running engine, cant find the gears, etc. Most of those issues are already resolved, and without even spending much money.

1973 Charger Rallye, 4 speed, muscle rat. Whatever engine right now?

Engine; M318 C5225008 4006730-318-12

Should be a digit in front of the M for the year (probably a 6 for 1976)
M= Mound road engine plant
318= Displacement
5225= Build date November 17, 1975
008= Sequence number...the 8th built that day

4006730-318-12= '76-'79 318 block casting number

Trans; PP8332855 0213

PP= New process plant
833= 4-speed
2855= Build Date May 22, 1969
0213= Sequence number...the  213th built that day

Diff; 2852905

8 1/4"
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thanks John. The engine was built on my 17th birthday.
