A few more roof dents were remedied. The trunk lid and hood bracing was sealed to prevent oil canning. And doors were weighted to simulate normal load.

So how did you cure the "oil canning" on the trunk lid?

All sheetmetal is back on the car...dialing in front end panels is next, which won't take long since it's been done before.

Amazing ....Don't know how you do all this with a young kids and a full time job.  How is your health ? I know you had some type of cancer a couple of years ago.
Best wishes my fellow Kansan.

My health has been very good. January 28th will be the 3 year anniversary of my cancer removal ans shoulder reconstruction. Periodic scans have been clean so things look good! Thanks for asking! My shoulder and (dominant) right arm will never fully recover but I'm just happy to have the arm and be alive.

I don't get as much done as I used to. My kids have activities almost every weekend so I go to those first ans then tinker a bit. I've actually started selling off some of my projects and parts pile to pay for some quality labor to help it get done faster. I have good friends who help me out with fabrication and sheet metal.

I used to use one when (with flat ended pins) I was an MOT tester (annual safety check in the UK if you don't know).....nothing better for finding bondo filled and undersealed frame rails and rockers.....the filler just falls out in big lumps on the floor.....even more fun if the owner is watching you do the test.....just watch there faces fall as they realise they've been rumbled!!

ROFL! I did the bondo frame rail thing on my '82 Volvo 340 when I lived there in the 90's....I made it past MOT though

Front panel alignment done. If I didn't mention it before, the hood hinges have been rebuilt.

Roof ribs are glued to the roof skin. And the roof skins were covered with Kilmat.

Been awhile...stuff has been happening at a slow but steady pace so I'll try to catch up on the progress posts. The trim along the tops of the doors was deleted so those holes were welded closed. Also patched one last spot in the door jamb at bottom of the passenger side A pillar

The gutter trim is also being eliminated. The gap at the top of the A pillar was filled in and the aft end of the gutter was extended slightly so water will not run into the bottom corner of the window.
