1969 charger clock issue...or not

just replace all of my gauges...including a tic toc tach.  maybe a dumb question...but does the clock run all of the time...ignition off?   Seems like it would be a drain on the battery...but Im figuring in 1969, they didn't have a computer keeping time when the ignition is even off.

yes, runs all the time.....unless it's broken, then it's only correct twice a day

It doesn't draw much, in 1969 or the modern ones, so it will run for a long time before it kills the battery.  If you are letting it sit for long periods it's a good idea to keep a tender on it even if you don't have a clock runing off of the battery.
