Identify this part

Since I have no idea where this goes I am not even sure what section to post this question in

I have never come across this part before
They came with a 70 Charger that I picked up recently that has been completely taken apart
One is upside down compared to the other in the photo

Kind of crusty looking so am guessing something to do with holding weather strip on the inside of fender or ??

  is it a XH charger ? think its something to do with  holding  the rear quarter glass / top of door  weather strip on   ,  XP & XS  chargers have the stainless belt mouldings  , & the XH does not

I may be wrong but those look cut and I can't think of any place that would fit.

It does have full new quarters on it so maybe it does have something to do with the outside weather strip

I believe that you both are right. To me they do look like the inside top lip of the rear quarter that hold the stainless trim in place (under the quarter window) and the fuzz strip. However, the only way to get that piece off as shown is to cut it off the quarter......and why would someone?

Mystery solved

Yes it is the inner lip of the rear quarter where the window fuzzy goes

Looks like the previous owner of this project just cut the whole piece off the old quarter to save the clips to know where they go

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction 

Previous owner had passed away when I got the car
Everything torn apart and in boxes and zip lock bags
Most stuff was labelled where they go but these were not
