She is finally back on the road again after several years of restoration. Anyone thinking of having a company restore your car needs to do your homework. I was fortunate enough to find someone to do mine right after I was taken by the first guy.

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Looks awesome!

Name the first guy and company/address. Help his future customers not become victims.

Here is a side shot. Wiggins in Enterprise, AL was the first people that made a mess of my car. They took it completely apart, sandblasted it, painted it, but would never start back with putting it together. I took the car to Hames Restoration which we blew the paint back off, redone body work, and repainted it. Hames Restoration is some of the best in the business.

Beautiful car! Took the second guy to make my car right as well.

Feels pretty good, huh?

Looks lovely! Tell us more about your car. SPD? Originality (numbers matching)? History? Any restomod components? Options?

kevink

It is an all numbers matching car. Still has manual brakes and steering. Original color with build sheet, fender tag, and original bill of sale. She sold new for a little less than $2,800 in 1968. The car just went through a complete nut and bolt restoration. We rebuilt everything. I have owned the car for about 6 years. I am the 3rd owner. I have a lot of documentation with it.
