Are there *.STL files of wing cars or chargers to work with for aero people?

This question might be completely inappropriate, but I will ask naively in case it is possible.

My son does computational fluid dynamics and auto aerodynamics.  He is playing around with some new software and was showing me some things.  I asked him about whether it would be possible to play around with some version of a charger and he said if he had an *.STL file or some other type of file with the body he could do it.  I am not sure I can convince him to build one.  He clearly has done this with his formula racing work, but I think his time is a little limited.

He just graduated and has just started with the auto industry and is working from home (telecomuting to detroit) and really likes this stuff.  The stuff he does in his spare time is a lot of fun to look at because it involves automating the output from the aero calcuations.  For someone who failed (well almost) fluid dynamics, it is fun to watch.

If there is a resource for these files I think it might be fun to learn (or relearn what is already known) from some calculations.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."? 

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us. 

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....
