I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Sgt Superbird

You said it, Greg. I've been eyeing this beauty for, it seems, over a year. Timing is just not right.  :drool5:

I can't believe it hasn't sold yet John, that and the need to go the Ebay route is mystifying ...

Maybe a woodgrain wheel, console, road wheels and redlines would help ??
Not sure folks like a buddy seat in s Daytona.

I was thinking last night of almost this exact scenario.    It's quite possible it would help at an auction venue.   Sex sells.

folks are into rarity and numbers. column shift daytonas are most certainly few and far between

i'd give both nuts to hit the lottery, then the car would remain in indiana

Blue on blue should be enough to excite a buyer.

Beautiful car John! The market is hot right now and ebay provides a global audience. Good luck with the sale!  :2thumbs:

Just got a call from a friend of mine telling me that a Blue Daytona showed up yesterday here in my area! I recognize those whitewalls and hubcaps!

Mopar John

The B5 Daytona was sold in a private person to person transaction.
I did not want to give Dana Mecum or Craig Jackson 10% of the sale price for this blue chip automobile.
The buyer was brought to me from the ad on "CARSONLINE".
Reluctantly after having ads in "MOPAR COLLECTORS GUIDE", The Chicagoland Mopar Connection, Hemmings Motor News,
The Daytona Superbird Auto Club, "CARSONLINE" and this site I thought I would try an EBAY ad and get a different group of potential buyers.
The cost was reasonable and since I already had an account for buying and selling parts it was easy.
I used the 10 day auction format and wasn't ready for what was to happen!
Right after I hit the submit button the phone started ringing and I'm glad I put 9am to 9pm CST with the phone number!
There were over 15,000 views and 275 watchers on this listing!
Most of the calls were a waste of my time but you never know when the person on the other end is serious.
The real fun came when the auction ended without a bidder and all the trolls came out from under the bridge to try and rip me off!
I really feel sorry for the guys who get in a position where the HAVE to sell their car or whatever.
For me it was a happy ending and I will have more to say over on my B5 Daytona post soon!

Glad it worked out John!   As everyone has said, what a beautiful car, and really surprised how long the sale took.    The attention to details on your restoration was spectacular to follow.  :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
