Not sure who all would be interested but I am removing my tired 383 and 727 out of my car and swapping in a 6.4 with 8-speed. I am filming it and posting on YouTube if anyone wants to follow along. Here is the link.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paOngP9SrvI

I have found some that have done this, but not really videos on how. should be fun, lol. Not sure if anyone has done this with the 8-speed either. Gonna try to do it like a how to incase others want to do this but aren't sure what obstacles await.
I am not the usual YouTube personality; I don't bounce around asking people to like and subscribe. With that being said, these videos might be boring at times, lol
Pic of car is below; I have had the car for about 13 years. it has been good and has taken the abuse till recently.

Thanks,
Luke

Thanks Charlie, I know your not far from me in Houston area. Im in Victoria about 2hrs south and was wondering if there is a reputable auto yard up there that might have an engine and trans. Is there one you know of with good reputation. Im gonna ask the one we have done here, but they usually have to source stuff.

I finally found an engine and trans to my liking. It's out of a 2018 challenger with 65k on it. I uploaded a new video as well.

I am so sorry, I missed your post to me,,,, glad you found what you need, everything around the Houston area is pricey , I wish I could find some 6.4 Apache stock Cyl heads to play with on my Flow bench.

Wow, interesting project.

How are you gonna control that 8spd?  Does somebody make an aftermarket stand-alone setup for that job?

Russel Drake has a setup that will.  https://www.soundgermanautomotive.com/pcs/
8hp: Prices start at 1000.00
Now supporting 8hp swaps with the FCA units only. We support swaps with factory take out ECMs, crate motor ECMs, and full standalone conversions. Factory FCA 8hp shifters from the Charger, Challenger or Ram must be used. TPS and RPM and brake switch are the minimum requirements.

I have his PCS kit running my NAG1 5 speed auto and it is fantastic.

That's ok. I did call a couple of places in Houston area. It seems they all share the same data base. Along with San Antonio and Austin they all had the same quote. And yeah, they where high. 8k just for the engine. I got this engine and trans for 9k and it came with wire and pedals and stuff.

More updates. Got the power steering pump installed that's lower pressure to work with factory 69 box. Also got a diy cold air intake on. Getting closer.

Can't believe it's been 6 months since I last updated this.
I have shot two videos and been driving and doing other things but still have center console to build and figure out better way to monitoring gauges.
first video is clean up video, car was collecting dust while engine swap was going on.
https://youtu.be/cAnbGYsz7Fw?si=9G7e6wbmghxrrotw

second is what i use to monitor the 6.4 hemi, but i soon want ot maybe use old gauges.
