i dont like pulling another guys car apart & or criticizing ,but
imo the price the owner is asking or hoping to get ,given by the looks of the pictures it prolly needs stripping down to a bare body shell for the body to be done properly !  you guys know on here how much it would cost & time if your unlucky not to be able do it all or most  your self, i know im stuck in the 80s with charger prices , & looks like ive been living under a rock whats being asked for some of these chargers last few years  i think its crazy ! yes we all think our chargers worth a million bucks when valuing  some one askes how much ! also  when buying  want a 100 point show winner for 5 grand  :insertsarcasm:

its all gone out of control IMO  not talking about this charger ,but seen a few ads for 68 -70  chargers saying ideal builder etc etc  for 36 - 40 k when you look at the pictures its a pile of  rusty shrapnel like its just  been pulled up from the alantic  :brickwall:

anyways back to this Q5 R/T    its on both sites  take a close look at the body  for 86 k  :icon_smile_blackeye:    good project yes prolly for  15K -20k  :o  ;)  :scratchchin:  look awesome if the body work done properly but not for 86k :P   good luck to the seller & buyer as long as your happy thats all that matters

The place selling this car is about an hour from my home.  I sold a car through them years ago.  They advertise the cars at stupid prices and negotiate from there.  They did right by me but the negotiation process is definitely a chore.  The nice thing is, they take care of everything.  All I had to do was take my car there and they did everything from advertising to negotiations to the final paperwork.  I had immediate garage space and filled it quickly (with a wing car).   It took them a while to sell it but they originally offered my car for $39,500.  I felt it was worth an honest 25K.   It eventually sold for 24K.   When I sell the next one, I'd go there again.   I imagine they're doing the same thing with this car. They initially shoot for the moon but the price drops as the clock ticks.  It's a neat place to go look at cars.  They have a TON of cars for sale.  Everything you can imagine.  It's called the Morgantown Classic Auto Mall.

by the time you strip all the paint off to redo properly you'll have swiss cheese & a fortune into it, twice into it then what's it worth. Perfume on a pig now.

Daytona R/T SE

If you scrape off all of the paint and bondo, the car shown above actually needs more

metal work than my worst POS "project".  :scratchchin:

Also, the car pictured in this thread has a 1970 -possibly newer- K frame and sway bar.

Old Moparz

Well, it does have the rare & elusive tail light, housing cover in the trunk.  :2thumbs:

Worse than the R/T I got.  Polished turd.  Body not as bad, but I could see the bubbles under the vinyl top.  When I eventually took it off, it had bondo and fiberglass patches, along with holes all over.  It needs a new top welded on.  I paid less than 1/4 that price, though.  Great 10 footer.  Sure it was beautiful when it was first done, but it's not about how much work was put into it.  It's about how much work was still needed that wasn't done, and that's what you're going to have to pay for now whoever buys it.  All that previous work wasted.
