Are you buying any Charger parts before the price goes up?

I just ordered a few parts that could have waited but hate paying extra later.  :scratchchin:

BEFORE the price goes up ? You mean like before 2001?
The Fast and Furious movies are directly responsible for (some) of the meteoric rise in value of the 1970 Charger. Our cars have always lagged behind the '68 and '69 year model cars but now the '70 is often even with the '68s in value.
As the value of a car increases, the aftermarket springs to action to offer parts for sale to get in on the $$$.
Maybe the OP is referring to Tariffs?
Nobody likes to pay more than they have to, myself included.

70 sublime

I bought a bunch of stuff for my 70 Charger restoration in case the tariffs added a bunch more cost to the prices
New gas tank and a set of pre bent fuel lines
Master cylinder and power brake booster and all the pre bent brake lines for the car
All the clips to mount all the fuel and brake lines
( I usually bend my own lines but the car did not come with any lines on it to even have a pattern to go by )
Carpet
Firewall insulation kit
Roof insulation and new headliner

That pretty much covered all the big stuff I need to get that I do not already have
What ever happens the parts prices would never go down

KD is right, 2nd gen Charger parts have been insane for over 20-years now. I don't see how "tariffs" could have anything to do with it, inflation maybe?

Before "Fast & Furious" there was "Bullet" and a number of other shows (who was that black vampire fighter (Blade)? He drove a '68 R/T in his 1st blood-drenched movie), there was Eddie Murphy's vampire movie (that was a '71 Super Bee), then of course there were the Dukes...

I don't think the younger-masses of humanity differentiate them much anymore (too involved in their phones), they have all been lumped together as "early Chargers" (with the '66 and '67 cars only being remembered as an afterthought).

Much is overseas produced and soon inventory will diminish. Greed takes over on top of tariffs and there goes the "hobby". 30 years ago you got a 68 Charger quarter panel and made it work for 69/70 and glad for that much.  :scratchchin:
My Charger is a car not any other thing like "investment" or so on. My kids want it so I'll never sell. More by design than luck my car needs little.  :2thumbs:

The increase in value means nothing to me since I don't intend to sell nor do I leverage it through liens to get loans.
I bought these cars because I like them. The thought of investments never entered my mind.
It is true though that the more it is worth, the greater aftermarket support we will see.

All of AMD's sheet metal is made in China. And so is most the other stuff. :scratchchin:

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised but...Chinese sheet metal?  I'll pass (& thankfully I can).

Back N Black

I have a friend here in Canada place an order, it was around $1000.00, but with border frees and Tariffs it was $2700.00. Needless to say he cancelled the order.
