I have a leaking freeze plug just next to the starter motor. Do I need to pull the motor to fix it?

Comment below. I really don't want to have to yank it out... again.

I had a 318 that the freeze plugs started to die on it and struggled to change them in a 68 Charger with headers
Was not fun
Then after that grrrr so much fun the one at the back of the block by the torque conveter started to leak so the engine had to come out

Never had an issue after they were all new

When the engine was out I took all the plugs out I had put in while still in the car and flushed all the junk out that had been sitting in the back corners of the water jacket
A fair amount of stuff came out

Once you start to fix one or two you might as well do them all sorry to say

You or a shop can do it.

Marine grade brass plugs are best.  :2thumbs:
