Congratulations on your retirement!
"Dear God, my prayer for 2026 is a fat bank account and a thin body. Please don't mix these up like you did the last ten years."

Thank You, It has been a long and sometimes trying job. What job doesn't, but I have made some incredible friends, been around an amazing group of professionals from all walks of life and would not trade this life experience for anything.  I just wanted to say Thank You for the Support, most of us in this line of work know 95 %  or more of the folks out there respect us, need us and want us out there.  Looking forward to a new chapter, more adventures and hopefully watching our Grand Children grow up and prosper like our Children have done.  See ya down the road !!!!!

I was in Russellville for a while but moved back to N.Y. :'( . Go to a Razorbacks football game, baseball is good.
It gets hot, so take that into consideration. Hot Springs is pretty cool, they have a horse track and a lot of baseball history over near the alligator park. Ozarks aren't far. I enjoyed the time I spent there.

I have In-Laws in Arizona, that state is quite popular with retirees fleeing the snowy northern states.
Desert landscape looks beautiful....for a little while, then once you realize that it looks the same every day of every year, it is not so great. I love the green landscape we get in areas where it actually rains...

Congrats on your retirement.

It's a big life change.  That always brings some stress even when the changes are good.  It's a time to pick your battles and keep sight of the big picture.

Nobody "said" anything. Everything here was written, not spoken.
The title of the thread is Retirement/Relocation.

Kern Dog,  I attended a class in Arizona once, spent a week there and Arizona is not an option for me....   We were there for a Training Class in June 2012, it was H O T...   Went to get in our car after the class, noticed ALL of the radio and control knobs on our Car had melted and fallen on the floor board... I have seen some beautiful Lanscaping and sunsets.... Nothing against it but again, Ariozona is a NO Thank You !!!

Some parts of AZ have what's described as a "Mediterranean Climate" with winter temps sometimes below freezing but summers that rarely top 90 degrees. Show Low is one, spent some time there...lots fewer snakes there, too.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
