Apologies...I'm a one trick pony

Friday night, wife's out to meet her old coworker for a bite so I'm on my own (unsupervised, eh?). I was going to take the car out for something fun to eat but was really famished so...I got into some of the "tapas" options here first (good nuts, good cheese, cherry tomatoes, chips, hot pickles & hummus). That all went pretty good so... I then decided an adult beverage was called for and accordingly... I made a small peach bourbon "smash" with a little iced tea and some fresh mint. Very satisfying(!) so I had another. Then the thunder started (which is a blessing here as we've had something like 30-days over 90 degrees here) and all with no rain making for things that are darn hot & dry.  Then the rain started, light at first but then pretty substantial.  Darn it all!

So much for my plans, eh? Went downstairs and opened the garage and looked wistfully out...

This summer is making me really understand automatics and air conditioning...

Hi lloyd3,      Sunday, 26 July 2026, 2219 MST

If we had 90 degrees every day we'd call it a "Cold Spell"; we have had temps in the hundreds, as high as 117. Our humidity is so low that the dew point is around 20 degrees.

Seems to me you had quite an enjoyable evening . . .  .  which you are entitled to.

Time to take care of the munchkins (Dog and Cats) for the evening. We have a dog and two cats in the house and about 7 ferrel cats the come here for food, water and treats.

I thought we were the only ones with full garages. Welcome to the club.

Do you ever drive around town in a beat up car while wearing a helmet?
THAT is some fun stuff.

KD: can't say that I have.

The helmet I mean, I've driven lots of "beaters" over the years.
