Did it ever sell?

Not that I know of, still sitting there on Saturday afternoon I know for certain.

I do hope no one forgets to put the hood pins on before driving the car, since there's no safety catch   :o

Is that ash tray door supposed to be a slide down style?  it must be...  :scratchchin:   i thought dodge went to the flip down style door mid way thru 1968...  Guess i better check my 500 to see which style it has, but i'm 99% sure its a flip down style and not the slide down style...

My C500 has the slide down style ash tray, early production date Nov 14. My 68 has the flip down, late production date in July.

A friend of mine..Was Jack Wersts chief back in the day .He currently owns and races a sox and martin duster. He told me some details about the 5/50 superbird.Which later became the Tosten Jennings superbird better known as the PHOENIX with a change of a paint job from the 5/50 paint scheme.Tail lights that weighed 150 LBS solid steel speaker shelf. Its sole purpose for being built was to beat RayAllens LS6 Chevelle

I just checked the Superbird VIN list and that Jennings Superbird VIN is not on it!  Maybe because it was a top secret factory race car  :scratchchin:  Anyway, it does belong in a batch of other consecutive Hemi Birds...181256, 258,259,260 261.

I also was checking the Vin and seen it wasn't in that batch of Hemi birds. Then I looked at the fender tag again and noticed N96 (air grabber hood)
so it must be a coverted Road runner not a real Superbird

That's a rat roaster intake.I use to run them on my drag car, the cool part is you can change the top lid to a single 4 ,in-line 2-4 or cross ram without taking the manifold of the engine.

I'm admittedly a novice when it comes to Superbirds, but wouldn't the B30 scheduled build date and the J97xxx Special Order number sortof imply a Superbird and not a 'Runner?

Gene, You are correct.  I have heard of N96 on Hemi Superbird fender tags before, but this is the first one I have seen.

I had my buddy dick drake (MY ADOPTED MOPAR FATHER) check his fender tag on his hemi superbird no  N96

   Hi Stuart,

I showed Dick your message, and he said he doesn't know of any superbirds with that N96 code.  Ours doesn't have it.

Happy New Year!

My HEMI bird does NOT have N96 on the fender tag.

There is a 440 EW1 440 'Bird here in Ct. that has "V21" on its fender tag.
