Shakey

I like the '70 Charger beside it.

tan top

i don't know about drifting , but  being that low ,  it would be intresting to see it fitted with a big cube 1000hp barton hemi, 2:50:1 or lower, gearing manual box  land speed tyres , and properly set up  etc  , run at Bonneville  i reckon it would run some big numbers top end

any other info? that thing looks bad azz. curious if its even a mopar based chassis, or just the body. without really stiff T bars the stock chassis would roll enough to drag at that height. trans crossmember would be at about 1  inch

No real info, just the pics...

as much as I like drifting.....I dunno about that 'Bird....like Tan Top, I'd rather see it at Bonneville.
when racing deals fall apart.....you go home, like me.

chrisII

that is pretty cool. i almost made a bird looking nose and tail for this car

Lightning

Nice dirt track car!  how well does it run?

Doesn't look like there is much mopar left in it except for the Hemi.

Here is a video.

I agree with Shakey, I like the 70 beside it.  Probably better.

other than it being an asphalt car, really damn good when that pic was taken in 01. I had won the state championship in it the prior fall, and finished 7th in season points (7pts out of 4th) after missing a night, and having to scratch before the feature another night. 300+ hp on a "stock" 2bbl through cast intake and magnum exhaust manifolds might have helped some.     ;D

cool race car, i have a 69 satellite that i was thinking of putting a big wing and nose on. kinda nutty but might look good.  :scratchchin:

Has it been featured in Mopar Action?

It's so low that it looks kind of goofy to me. What's up with the floppy fenders? I do admire the machinery through!

Nice Satellite Chris!

Drifting is so gay. Back in high school,1982. I remember how we would *power slide* our cars side ways. Now its a big deal for imports to slide they're rice around. Big bucks involved yes, but what a joke IMO. It reminds me of Nascar, how fast can we go round and round, redneck racing at its finest.
That Plymouth is so low I bet getting it on a car trailer is a joy. And as already stated, can that body be anymore floppy?

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

UFO

That engine sounds like it needs a lot bigger track to run on.
Something along the lines of a 2.5 mile tri-oval.

66chargerkid

seems like kick ass play toy to  me :drool5:
sounds like a hemi to me

A383Wing

I like it.....wish I had that engine.

Got to give some of the guys doing the drifting driving a little skill credit to keep it between the cones.  I guess for me what hasn't grown to my liking is the coffee can size tailpipes and the exhaust "sound?"  :eek2: but what the hay, it's what the new younger generation has to work with. It's almost gotten to the point where the average adult guy can't afford to get the old muscle.  I remember a lot of the comments in the early 70's about the distastes for the wing car and a few other's looks but now look at how many want one including myself  :drool5:.  For my "Redneck" tastes,  I'd take watching the dirt track racing anytime that has a little bit of all kinds of driving in it.

charger_mike75

That thing definitely needs more room to run, i mean fly   :icon_smile_big:

pettyfan43

Yeah he was DEFINITELY lugging the engine and fouling the plugs. Talk about bringing a bazooka to a knife fight!
