Anyone know of more than 1 Daytona with 400 miles on it still? Granted it did get a paint job, that wasn't the factory color, but then again its worn the same color since the day it rolled out of the dealership new.

I call this one for what it is, a kid making up a story. I don't care if your Bill Gates your not giving a 16 year old a Daytona, especially one like Elmer's car.

I'd like to see some photos myself, but the kid won't or can't post for some reason. But I doubt we'l ever see any. Not to high jack the thread, where I work, customer bought two new Ford GT 40 cars, he's giving them both away to his sons when they turn 16, within the next few years. Now thats crazy.

I know of a person who owned a Plymouth dealership in 1970 and gave his 2 sons a pick of any cars on the lots. They both picked new 440-6 pac Superbirds. So the GT-40's would be about like that, well if they had both picked HEMI Superbirds, but what are the odds of having 2 on the same lot back then.

No one ever said all teens are retarded. Just that they have a lot to learn, and they are prone to BS quite a bit to impress others. Then again so are people who are in their 30's, 40's, and 50's. If Elmer can't get that kind of money out of his car, then the gentleman I just talked to last night who is wanting $375K for his 4 speed Daytona will never get it. Its a clean car, but its far from perfect no matter what he claims.
