stupid distributor question

my distributor on my 1968 383 doesn't have  vaccum advance on it.  It looks like a factory part.....what, if anything does it take to switch to a distributor with vaccum advance, and is there any advantage to it??

Is it possibly a dual point dist. if so it won't have a vacumn advance. If so my opinion is leave it.

generally switching to an electronic ignition will help it run better , I don`t really see an advantage in the vacuum advance in most applicatoins
