Relax people, the sky isn't falling.

Chrysler is looking for a sub sub compact to sell here in the US.  Something that can compete with the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris...basic, no-frills, point-a-to-point-b transportation.  A valiant with rubber floor mats and slant six for the modern age.  They want to be able to sell it CHEAP.  You cant build a car like that in the US and make a profit.  Look at GM, they get the Aveo from Korea.  The only sensible way to do it is to use an existing platform.
I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.

Ghoste

But once they get their factories established, they'd never ever start moving all their production there?

Brock Samson

word  was... they were looking for a parnter to produce it. so maybe that will be chery..
