Will a 72 fender fit on my 71............

Hi Guys, my newly acquired 71 has a crappy drivers fender and I found a 72 fender  that I can buy. Will it fit?  Looks to me like it is the same except for the front side lite........they are different but I think it can be modified to work. Any one know for sure..........J

yes... no prob on that, just need to modify the hole to sidemarkers.

In fact, 73/74 also fits, but would need also to use the 73/74 valence splash shields, modify also the sidemarkers holes. Wheel opening is a little bit higher on 73/74 ( around 1 1/2" ), but fits.

another detail... beams pedestals are higher on 73/74 to the elongated bumper. Wheel opening moldings of course are not the same between 71/72 and 73/74 and not only about opening size itself, also on profile so if you go with 73/74 fenders, then you'll never will be able to match rear opening moldings with front ( unless rears moldings are interchangeable, what I don't know )
