Curious who makes the most accurate Non ralley mirror (circular) for a 1971 Charger? Anything I should know in finding the best product out there? Thanks so much.

Not necessarily true! There are the Rallye style and standard non-remote round pedestal style.

OR..........

and they could be equipped on any car if optioned

Only ones available as repro are racing "cup" mirrors... both sides, and both models 71/72 and 73/74... B body ( 71/72 B is the same than 71/74 E ) and both finish ( chromed and primed )

Hmmm. Of all the ones I seen in my 50 years above ground have been the "Rallye"..Not cup style mirrors on the 3rd gens. :scratchchin:

That proves you're never to old to learn something new.

Nacho-RT74

Heres my confusion. Everyone sais this mirror is not available (spent hours on this yesterday and today). The parts book shows the 1971 B,J,R,W sharing the same mirror and part number. PG Classics even told me they don't have this mirror, but they do lists a 1971 Cuda LH non remote mirror #284-LHC71.

I've compared this reproduction with the the image posted above (mirror on Blue background), and the hole placement is different in the pedestal. The hole placement on the reproduction mirror matches that of a ralley mirror for both 71 charger and challenger (I just checked in the garage).

So, did the factory drill different holes to fit the mirror posted above (blue background), or is that mirror not correct? Unfortunately, I can't see exactly where the hole is on the black RT image, although it appears to be on the curve – which would confirm that PG classics mirror is correct, and the one on Blue Background is incorrect. Thus, meaning a reproduction mirror is available!

OK. Two people just confirmed part number 3548758 is 1971 Charger, and looks as follows. This confirms the correct hole pattern – which I believe means the Cuda mirror PG Classics offers can be used for the Charger. Thanks so much for all your help.

Sorry to have added to the confusion with the blue background picture, It was the only close-up I could find for reference as to the style...... I think this particular one is for a '73-'74, they have the wider spread on the screw holes. The '71-'72 would have the holes closer together as you have surmised. The over-all "style" of mirror was what I was trying to depict.      Again....Sorry for any confusion this may have added to the issue. Looks like you have figured it all out in spite of the snag I threw in there.

Nacho-RT74

I already told... 71/72 B are the same than 71/74 E bodies, but different from 73/74. thats because the screws location

thats valid for Standard and rallye mirrors

BASE also get some slight changes on shape, more noticeable on Rallye versions
