The orange Bird belonged to Lou Whitfield from Bakersfield CA.   Lou bought that car in 1977, and used to flog it at the old Riverside Raceway on open track days.  That car is my idea of what a purposeful Bird should be.   He sold the car sometime in the early to mid 80's, and still is active in the Aero car world having owned Talladegas and  69 Cyclone Spoiler IIs.   Lou chimes in over on the DSAC board at Mopar Style every so often.

The blue Bird judging by the photo credit belonged to a gentleman in Indiana who collects vintage race cars.  He had several Birds.  As far as I know, he may still have them.   At least one of his Superbird had a class III hitch on the back.  I remember seeing him pulling a Bird with another Bird at Talladega back in 1988 or 1994.
