I recently had all the guages restored, the sending unit was replaced this last February.  The problem is prior to guage restoration the needle went left of empty, after restore I installed a grounding wire, now the guage goes partially to the right of empty.??  Why can't I get the guage to read full????

do you know if you have also bad reading on oil and temp gauges ?

Be sure of that grounding those sender wires too. If they read full of scale, then you need replace or rebuilt the gauge. If anyone read full scale, then is cluster voltage limiter damaged or needing graduation to send 5 volts ( pulsating 12 volts making 5volts average output )

Just 6T9 CHGR

The float arm in thetank needs to be adjusted accordingly.....you have to bend it to get the full reading....pretty much a PITA
