Well, the evidence was very much against making the story believable.

True, I believed him at first but after all the excuses, my beliefs started going away..

Yep but your sort of behind on the story. We found out the SF one was the modtop car a few months ago...

Didnt see the SF car and that retro picture connection. The SF cars roof showed no evidence of a prior top.And going by the picture the roof was entirely body color. But if the picture was from the same person. That top had been removed and the car painted .Though it seemed like the underhood paint was newer .And the rest of the car worn and faded.

Matt (THE CHARGER PUNK) posted saying he saw a '69 Daytona SE with a modtop at a car show. He said he had pictures of it that needed to get developed. For a long time, he kept making up excuses why the pictures werent getting developed. Then he said he dropped the pictures off. Then he said he didnt drop them off. Then he actually dropped them off and then it took him forever to get the pictures (he kept making up more excuses). Finally at the end, he said the pictures got wrecked by the photo guy. Nobody believed that he saw a modtop Daytona..until that picture and the car popped up.

I'm waiting for the 3000M Steeplechase to come on.  I used to run that in college and was pretty good, well, not quite as fast as these guys but i did get close to the B standard for olympic qualifing.   :2thumbs:

... and complete paint around the top of the window plug, which was applied at Creative Industries (wouldnt' be necessary if it was "intended" for a V-top).  I also think I recognize the adhesive residue pattern from that stick-on moulding as being from the stuff normally used at Joe's Customized Cars and Pool Cleaning Services.   :P

Thanks for resizing and posting the pics, Danny - and thank you sixx pakk for contributing them in the first place.  Very neat pics   :2thumbs:

I am wondering what happened to the rear glass in  those pictures though. No trim, nor glass. I thought the other pictures of the car had a rear glass in  them.

THE CHARGER PUNK
