OK.... ::)
So maybe it's not "factory" but at least it was an effort on somebodies part!
- So what if it makes you gag on your own vomit -.

At least it has a cool targa-style roof.....

I would buy it , but the spoiler isnt tall enough !!!!!!!!!!

hotrod98

I applaud the effort.
I've seriously thought about transforming my 74 hardtop charger into a wing car. Just not enough time and dollars right now.

That car was on eBay a long time ago. Just goes to show, drugs are bad.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

There was a daytona like that in the 80-sin the mopar performance magazine built from a 72 charger

Heres another. The car is a local object. I don't know who the person is either.

I think that the 3rd gen cars make nice wingcars. I have most of the stuff to do it, including a 71 R/T hood and door skins with the inserts. If I wasn't so busy with other projects, I would consider it.

Wow, and all this time I thought Chrysler only puts wings and noses on 2nd gens... ::)

hotrod98

I've always thought that the the 3rd gen cars were designed with Nascar racing in mind. It seems like they were trying to correct all of the things that were inefficient on the 2nd gen styling. The longer front end, the back glass, the quarters etc. I think that the 3rd gen wing car looks much more natural than the 2nd gen car as a wingcar. If you look at the cars that Dayclona built based on Chrysler designs, they just look right for some reason, whereas the factory 2nd gen wingcars look like an afterthought in some respects. I own some of both gens and I'm not biased towards either style. I like them all.

This wing is way too far forward. I love these 3rd Gen Daytonas.

They actually had problems with the rear window (green house) with the 3rd gen too. Here are some pics of the testing.

Also I will be using (when I get around to it) the "18 inch nose" and not the "minimal nose" that Dayclona used on there Road Runner.

I do prefer more than any of the 71 designs the 69 Daytona nose like Dayclona used.

THE CHARGER PUNK

my fav would be the 71 superbird they built except i woulda gone with a yellow one with quarter black vinyl top and 71 rr strobe roof stripes as well as a 440-6pack and i woulda built it to look more stock-MATT :yesnod:
