Hmm ok, some body calking then... they had it original there under the vinyl?

NO NO NO you don't want to put anything in there. Those corners are to be left just like they are. They are part of the rain gutter/rain drainage system. If you look under your car along the rocker panels you'll find body plugs that have a drain channel in them this, too, is part of the drainage system. Its like the rear valance corner gaps. You don't fill those either for the same reason. If you reinstall the VT you must glue/wrap the VT material into this gap.

bobfist

ok, but behind the molding i can see right thru into the car, that seems wrong...or was the vinyl just stretched over that hole?
My eng are very bad trying to explain...

:yesnod:   was thinking you mean this  gap i have pointed to  ,  they are all like that , but you could run a thin strip of calking or sealer on the very inside edge of the stainless trim , was going to do that my self , but did not bother in the end

:yesnod:  make sure the C corner trim is pushed up as far as it will go & once you have a vinyl on there that will be a few thousanths thicker , as the top bends round that corner where the hole is  :yesnod:

Ok ill take a look tomorrow again ad see if i understand :)
One more question about the vinyl roof.
I have been sanding the roof as crazy and wonder how accurate i need to be.
Is there some kind of padding on the vinyl roofs?

www.bobfist.com

tan top

the factory boargrain  , has no padding  , but will cover very  small imperfections  , slight wavy panel , but if the bondo is not good , it still wont be any good once the top has been on a little while out in the sun  :Twocents:   not worth cutting any sort of corners ,  finish the roof as best you can 2pac prime & block it ( no need to wet flat the roof with vinyl , just block it with 320 & 400   & paint it body color , :Twocents:

No shortcuts, do it right!!

Like TanTop says the vinyl will not cover much..

my roof has a little flat spot on one front corner, and if you look close you can see it through the vinyl.

If you are commig too "Wheel & Wings" in Varberg this year, I will show you ;D
