This fire has been going since 8/13 but it remained small due to no wind. Well, yesterday the winds here really picked up and the fire grew to 12,000 acres. It's located 20 miles south of town in the Wenaha wilderness area. Started by 13 lightning strikes that have since combined into one fire.

They had 3 firefighters up there in Washington get killed. Terrible.
