It was more of a question of do you have to specifically remove anything for the install. And yes, I was taught to drill holes at a very young age in search of food.

daytonalo

TURN KEY TO OFF POSITION
OPEN DOORS TO FULL OPEN POSTION
REMOVE WEATHER STRIP AND STAINLESS TRACK FROM DOOR JAMB
MUST REMOVE VERT WINSHIELD TRIM ON BOTH SIDES
MUST REMOVE VERTICAL DRIP RAIL TRIM
PLACE WIND DEFLECTORS IN POSTION , AND RILL TWO 1/8 HOLES
INSTALL SCREWS IN CLOCKWISE ROTATION .

Drill 2 holes? What about the other 4 screws? No holes needed for those?

daytonalo

That is the beauty of my trim , they fit snug to gaskit , kind of sprung in place , held there by jamb screws . And no ugly butyl tape to hide orig holes in gaskit area . Each set are test fit on actual windshield area cut from charger and mounted to my shop floor . Larry

Not really sure why your trying to be a dick. I am interested in your product and you gonna talk to me like Im a 14 year old kid. I was simply interested what was involved in their installation. In one of the pics I saw it looked like the screws were behind the edge of the windshield. Meaning the windshield would need to come out.

nascarxx29

The wingcars came from the factory with misaligned nose and random gaps  .As well as random decal placements. This car had it nose replaced. He could have had it corrected when I sent it back with nose in primer. And he returned it to the body shop who originally painted the car.Thats the owners preferences .He also likes the deep chrome reverse rims that came on the car .When we bought it in the 70-s..Its how the car is down to the putty in the a pillars hiding the screws.Daytonalo rode in this car when I had it at my place .His first ride in a real daytona. Not to mention the engineering details for reproducing all his repo parts came from access to my original untouched 69 daytona.

Lost sheep , I was just playing with you !!!! Just my personality . I improved on a design that was rushed into production without any regards to fit and finish , that is usually what happens when a design is some 38 years old . Pm me and I will answer anything you need to know . One more thing , The windshield remains in place just like originals , my design fits snug to gaskit without screws on gaskit side , unlike orig trim that had screws on gaskit side and still had a gap on gaskit side that was filled with butyl tape . If anyone wants a set, order now , in process of moving . Larry

daytonalo

Dave I wasn't bashing your Buddy's car , I was just stating an issue about nose fit . I was in your driveway and you informed me that you tried numerous times to align nose to fenders , in which you had no luck . I was just tring to help a fellow wing car enthusiast out with the offering of my shop and lift capability , so we could determine why the nose in shifted to one side . We all know the cars were rushed into production , but to hang off on pass side 3/4 of inch , doubtful . This is what I get for stating the facts ??? Sometime the truth hurts !! i call it as I see it . I still love ya Dave !!!!!!

Each of my valve covers have just four holes... I feel so insignificant.

BTW, my 70 Hemi Challenger Convert clone took best of show in Hot Springs last weekend. I guess people like bright shiny hemi cars. ;D

You talkin' to me?  ;D
I've been busy since I quit my job at the dealership. Got kind of tired of managing that body shop. Too many hours at work and not enough time at home.
I've been trying to finish wiring my new shop so that I can start the resto work here at home full time. I have around three years of resto work lined up already. Might even find time to finish the bird clone in there somewhere. Since I no longer sit at a desk during the day, I don't find time to get online as much.
I just might get serious about the wing car parts again.
