Anyone restore the standard plastic steering wheel used on the 70 Plymouth BBody cars? Has the usual cracks. Thanks for any input.

I believe several sources will be stocking reproduction '70 steering wheels later this summer. Although there always seems to be a "give" that gives away the fact that the part is a reproduction. Every restored steering wheel I've seen can clearly be seen. The '70 wheel is hard to repair, especially because of the texturing on it. If it's a Superbird, your best bet may be to "throw some money at the problem". Standard black wheels can be found, think of all the Belvederes, Satellites and Coronets built. An original uncracked wheel will most likley cost you what a restored one will.

Thanks for the info. I go to alot of swap meets and have never seen a crack free 70 wheel for sale. I will have to call Lepak and see what he says. I am keeping the car stock so a "repo tuff wheel" won't do.  Thanks
